This is a lovely brooch done in solid sterling silver, and marked "silver". While there has been a light surface polish, the original patina remains in the graver marks and low relief areas.
The brooch fastens with a "trombone" style clasp. The piece measures 1 3/4 x 1 1/4" and features 9 genuine cultured Japanese akoya pearls, from 4-5mm. The weight of the brooch is 7.1g.
