Pyritized Ammonite fossil pendant with ammolite features sterling silver wire wrapped

This sweet piece has a bit of a story behind it. This was the first fossil of this type I've wire wrapped and I underestimated how fragile it is. I initially purchased it because it has been pyritized and shows some druzy (see last photo and video). Well, the tension involved in wrapping my pieces broke the piece in 2 places. This piece was just too pretty to waste though! If this wasn't enough one of my wires broke. No worries though, you can see on the back of the piece a tiny curly-que on the upper left hand side. It was put there to aid holding the piece just as it would have if it hadn't broke...So I decided to seek a new vision for this piece and flipped the shell around. I used a special adhesive to bind the shell together then coated the front and back to help avoid scratches and help preserve the integrity of the piece. This also brought out life to the iridescent reds of the ammonite fossil; like ammolite. I threw in a few swirls on the piece and voila!

I'm certain this piece is bound to bring its wearer many compliments. I am pricing the piece below what I would normally due to it's rough start. I really think it's much prettier in person. It's really hard to capture iridescence properly.

The piece measures over 1 1/4" high by about 3/4" wide. This listing is for the pendant only.
