This 9mm round Oregon fire opal (these do not possess play of color) is a muted orange color--I realize some of my photos make it look more red. On my monitor, the video depicts it most accurately. It reminds me a bit of a carnelian with an inner glow. The setting used reminds me a bit of a doily halo with it's filigree, beadwork, and milgrain.
The ring is sterling silver and a size 8. The Oregon opal weighs 2ct even. The ring's weight is 4.1g.
Albeit minor, there are a few hairline scratches to the stone. This happens as opal is softer. The table of the gem is clean though--aside from my finger smudges. I've priced this piece accordingly.
