This precious ring was saved from being melted. It features a transitional cut diamond with a little culet. The diamond is 4mm and roughly .25ct. It is VS1/GH+, as are the super clean side diamonds that are single cut. The total carat weight is .35ctw.
So there are a couple things to mention here, since all sales are final. One is, there is a prong missing. I didn't even notice this until final examination. The diamond is still nice and secure, and while it's not immediately noticeable with the naked eye, I would recommend having your jeweler add a tip there. There is also a short little fracture to the back of the band. It could be that someone tried stretching it. It too should be just fine, but might be worth that being fixed if you go to size it (that alone would take care of it).
The ring is two toned solid 14k gold It's a nice mid-century piece, circa 1950s-60s, with lovely textures and attention to detail. It has potential to last a lifetime if some extra love is given to it.
