This fancy cut oval dichroic Oregon sunstone shows muddy greenish-yellow in fluorescent lighting and muddy-pink in incandescent lighting. Very cool. I don’t see this with all of them. It has a fancy custom precision cut. The “muddy” color comes from green and red within the stone.
Normally chips on girdles aren’t mentioned, but due to the price of this ring I magnified the tiny chip. This doesn’t affect the price per carat at all. You can see it in the last picture. It’s almost under the stone. Just wanted to disclose.
The stone is a whopping 6.7ct and measures about 13x11mm.
It is set in a sterling silver setting with rhodium plating. 6 prongs secure the stone. The band is a size 8 and the ring as a whole weighs 4g.
