This beautiful pearl is a lovely collectable piece due to its uniqueness. I'm calling it Akoya as it's nacre is that of saltwater rather than freshwater. The pearl has thick nacre and high luster with an almost "hammered" looking finish to it. It is being reset as it is reclaimed from a vintage discarded piece of jewelry. It's been professionally cleaned and set on a new peg pendant and necklace.
The pearl itself is tear shaped and 8.5x8mm. The pendant is 3/4" high and strung on an 18" cable chain. There are 3, 2mm clear crystals accenting it. The total weight is 2.6g.
