I've set a natural untreated grandidierite gem in a vintage pendant casting with a vintage chain. The grandidierite is just under a 8x6mm oval, weighting 1.27ct. There is a 2mm natural diamond of I1/GH quality that sits right above it with an approx. weight of .03ct.
The pendant hangs on a fine dainty rope chain that is 18". All metal is solid 14k yellow gold and weighs `1.7g.
