I purchased this piece in the 90's. I was once able to read the little nano-plaque under high powered magnification. I wish I still had those higher ocular lenses. I believe it might just be the entire New Testament of the bible. I've tried my best to capture what I can with my normal iPhone 16.
The cross pendant is 1 1/2 x 3/4" and is strung on a 1.25mm 20" chain. All metal is solid sterling silver. The cross has a black inlay in the crevices--as to appear oxidized. The chain is truly, and intentionally oxidized.
The laser inscribed portion appears to be under beveled glass. The necklace as a whole weighs 6g.
