This really is a lovely specimen! It reminds me of that rock candy on a stick; the top of it. The beautiful rich purple amethyst comes from Uruguay. It has a nice druzy-like cluster formation in a rosette. There is a 9x7mm amethyst briolette that dangles from beneath.
The gems are set in a hand forged solid sterling silver pendant setting with quite a bit of obvious E600 to stabilize the gem while setting it. While the piece should be just fine without it, I’ve left it for additional security.
The pendant measures just over 1.25” top to bottom and about .75” wide. It will come on an 18" chain featured in the photo. The entire piece weighs 7.5g (with chain).
